A festive cocktail for holiday gatherings makes those events even more fun. You can easily make so many variations with just a few ingredients! One of my most used recipes only has 3 ingredients and is always a hit!
The Classic Christmas Cocktail
I usually make each drink individually, because I often have guests that do not drink alcohol and I can cater to individual tastes. But, you could also make a pitcher of the base and then just top each glass with Champagne or S. Pellegrino. If you plan to make a pitcher, use equal parts Rosemary Simple Syrup and Cranberry Juice. Fill each glass with 1/3 of the Cranberry/Rosemary Syrup mixture and top each glass off with the bubbly.
If you plan to make each drink individually, pour 1 jigger of cranberry juice, 1 jigger of rosemary simple syrup and then top off the glass with the bubbly! Place the Rosemary/Cranberry Sprig on top for a great presentation.
My massive Rosemary yield out in our little garden really shines this time of year. Rosemary is a staple for so many things at our house. We use it for cooking, decor, floral arrangements, and my favorite- cocktails. If you don’t grow your own you can grab some from a local grocery store. For this cocktail I used it for a rosemary simple syrup and for garnish.
To make the garnish, just snip some 3-4 inch rosemary sprigs from your bounty. Strip the leaves from 1/2 of the stem. Then skewer a cranberry with the stem. Place is on top of the cocktail for a great presentation.
Many Christmas Cheers to you my friends!!
