Such a fun DIY project! Create your own Chinoiserie Ginger Jar Pumpkin. All you will need is a faux pumpkin, pencil, and a navy blue Sharpie.
I painted this paper mache pumpkin with white, acrylic paint and painted the stem with gold, acrylic paint for a little more interest. I used a ginger jar from home as my guide. I loosely copied the design with a pencil and then drew a flower and some vines to cover the white space in between. The beauty of using a pencil is that you can sketch it out and erase any imperfections.
Then I traced over the pencil marks with a navy blue Sharpie.
After tracing all of the designs with the Sharpie, I then erased any remaining pencil marks.
It’s a show stopping display piece for Fall. Perfect for a table centerpiece, on a bar cart, or on a shelf. I am absolutely no artist, so if I can do this- so can YOU! If you are love the look, but do not want to attempt this at home go to our Shop to see some pumpkins from some very talented artists for purchase.
